All Nations Tutorial College is a small developing College. The aim of the College is for God to be glorified and enjoyed in
academic study, and to prepare people for a variety of vocations in God's world and in his church.
A Tutorial College
The focus of All Nations Tutorial College is on personal tuition - we will not provide all of your teaching but
will oversee and direct it. There are many good Colleges in Oxford for students to study at. We will help you
to find the best College for you to study at, whilst providing personal tuition and accommodation in a host family.

Preparing the way for University
For those of you preparing for University you have some important choices to make. We want to
work closely with you from the beginning to help you make your decision, and then help you
follow it through with the best available one-to-one help.
What will you study?
At present students can study a variety of A levels and GCSE subjects in preparation for University. All subjects are supported
by English language programmes, which can also be studied separately. A theological programme for church pastors and ministers
is developing and a commitment to daily worship and living theology is the breath of the College.
A belief in English
Because it is recognized as a key international language, the teaching of English plays a central role.
There are a variety of English language programmes on offer, and all subjects are taught in English. It
is the conviction of the College that English is an exciting language to learn that can provide a rich
means of relating to others.
Located in Oxford
The original vision of the Oxford University College on which many of the
surrounding Colleges depend was connected with the church. Much of this witness
remains through the existence of chapels in each College and the University motto:
Dominus illuminatio mea- 'The Lord is my light'. Members of the University understood
this to mean that it was God who graciously provides the light of knowledge to all people.
This belief is shared at All Nations Church College.
A missionary foundation
All Nations Church College was founded by Nick Bensted. Aged 36, Nick studied alongside Anglican
ordinands for a senior status degree in Theology from Oxford University, with the purpose of developing his specific
call as a missionary. He also holds a second degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Leicester.
Presently he tutors a number of academic subjects at A2, AS and GCSE level, and writes Theology with a fresh vision for the church of tomorrow.
He is married to Josie, 35. Josie and Nick have hosted international students at their home in Oxford since 2004. Having
previously worked together as missionaries in Thailand among the Karen people they enjoy other languages and cultures. Nick is also
an experienced English as a second language teacher and has a working knowledge of seven different languages.
A Tutorial College
Tutorial colleges are specialist colleges that regularly adopt one to one teaching. They normally offer A levels and GCSEs and
University foundation courses for younger students. Many Colleges now also run a range of English programmes for all ages, at all
levels, and for business people and academics. The existence of many such Colleges in Oxford is influenced by the original use of
the tutorial method at Oxford University.
A proven method
The tutorial method has an interesting and illustrious history. It was first recognized by tutors in Oxford at a Parisien arts
college in the University of Paris more than 700 years ago. It was used by the resident head of the Arts College to supplement
the teaching of the schools there. Early tutors in Oxford were the first to develop the method. Tutors were invariably from the
church and understood their role as pastors or shepherds of the student, in combination with their academic responsibilities.

Testimony 1
Nick Bensted has a great talent for teaching English to non-native speakers. In August 2006 and February 2007, I commissioned him to correct errors in my two different drafts on the history of modern Britain and Japan. Thanks to his valuable comments based upon the solid methodical ground, not only was one of my drafts, accepted in an academic essay collection to be published, but also my skill of English writing has improved very much. I strongly recommend Nick Bensted.

Testimony 2
I am very pleased to make this testimonial about the excellent services of All Nations Tutorial Service through Mr. Nick Bensted that has planned, organized and implemented a unique tailor made English course for my son Luiz Eduardo Valente. The course is different from other courses that I have knowledge because it plans accommodation, social activities, and group lessons combined with tutorial lessons personally given by Mr Nick Bensted. I would like to highlight that he has all the excellent skills of a specialist teacher of English language for foreigners. Another difference of the service is the cost / benefit that is very good for the level of services granted.
I would also like to add that my son Luiz in a 2 month course with All Nations has returned home speaking and writing in English as his second language, and also enjoyed a lot of the tours and social activities organized by All Nations Tutorial Service.
I really recommend to you the services of All Nations Tutorial Service.
Yours sincerely
Carlos Eduardo Valente, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
